Meetings are held on the Third Tuesday of each month at 101 North Erwin Street

Confederate History Month proclaimation will be signed at the Cartersville Courthouse Commissioner Browns office on March 31st on a Thursday at 10:00 AM

The Cartersville Stiles/Akin Camp #670 Sons of Confederate veterans will have thier memorial service at Cassville Cemetery on April 16 Saturday @ 10:00 AM and the speaker will be Jerry Maddox of Dunwoody, Ga

Location: Cassville Directions: I-75, exit 295, Cassville-White Road, located about 7 miles north of Cartersville off US Highway 41 to Cassville Road.

2:30 p.m. Free admission. Kingston has honored their 250 unknown soldiers since April 23, 1865 in the oldest continuous service in America. The Kingston Woman's History Club began and carries on the tradition which now honors all war veterans. Military salute by Carl Boyd Post 42 American Legion with grave decoration at Confederate Cemetery by area Boys Scouts and local children. Following the cemetery service, a Memorial Day Tea will be served by members of the Kingston Woman's History Club at the Martha Mulinix Annex, Kingston Museum. All persons are welcome to attend.

Hardin Bridge Rd. Turn left at end onto Main St.

The Cartersville Ga General P.M.B Young Chapter of the UDC will have their memorial service on April 29th at 2:00 PM at the Stiles Auditorium In downtown Cartersville on the corner of Cherokee Avenue and School Street.


The Georgia and North Carolina Division’s will be Holding a Joint Dedication of the New North Carolina Monument for the 29th and 39th Infantry Regiments at the Allatoona Pass Battlefield on Saturday April 9, at 11:00 am.

Directions: Take exit 283 off I-75 in Bartow County near Cartersville, Georgia. Upon Exiting head East on Old Allatoona Road and the Battlefield is on the Left.
